Martha Stewart Living-June 2008
On the newsstands now is the June 2008 issue of Martha Stewart Living, the grand dame of the Martha magazine family.
On the cover is the cutest cake made from a bee hive cake pan, if you weren't lucky enough to get the pan at Martha's old online store you can find one at Williams Sonoma And the marzipan bees are super cute as well!
Good things: Ice cream scoops on a stick: This is really one of the cutest ideas ever. And so easy to do a bunch before a party. Kids would love these and so would grown ups.
Ribs 101, If it has 101 in the title it is the best recipe that Martha and crew have. And a good ribs recipe is what everybody should have. Not the easiest thing to make on the grill, it takes time and patience but so well worth it.
I think my favorite article of the issue is the "Cool Ades" filled with lots of great "Ade" recipes like Saffron Orangeade, Lemon Verbena, Caiprinha Limeade and Strawberry Hibiscus-Tea Limeade.
"Pie to the Ninth degree" All about creme pies like Espresso cream pie, Rum-Vanilla cream pie, Summer fruit pie and who can resist Butterscotch praline cream pie.
And of course I must mention the Desert of the Month. The classic French dessert Sour-Cherry Savarins. The cherries are simmered in a sweetened wine syrup and then added to the little airy cake made is special molds.
Don't forget to pick up the Martha Stewart Cherry Pitter at Macy's. It is a must have tool!
Make sure you pick up your issue today, my favorite issue of the year will be here soon, July filled with great entertaining ideas.
