Sooooo very tired right now..... and not because I stayed up with a marathon Grey's viewing.  Unfortunately it is work, just when I am ready to ramp up to NYE I am engrossed in a HUGE project. Staying up every night until 1am working is NO fun. I really want to scrapbook but I can't do anything but work, and it isn't going to be done on time anyway... We are heading to the beach tomorrow with my mom for our 2nd annual project weekend. Last year John and Mom pruned the trees, this year we are installing a fence around the front lot to keep the new asshole neighbors from putting their crap on our yard while they build their house. Grandma said they had scaffolding on our property, I sure hoped she warned them I was on my way. It won't be pretty!

And as for the donuts: So I was working last night (of course) and at about 11:30pm John came down the hall and said something about his car. I thought that it had been broken into and maybe he heard something. So he runs down stairs and tells me to go look out the bedroom window. I am standing in the bedroom looking out the window with the lights off (so the crooks can't see me). I see John walking down the sidewalk in his boxers and t-shirt, he goes to his car and then comes back into the house. I ask him what happened....... and his answer.......somebody put donuts on my car.....huh??? did I just hear that? What I ask? And then he realizes that he must have been half asleep.  He is going to kill me if he reads this, but he doesn't look at my blog very often.  So Andrea calls me today on her way home and I tell her the story. She was laughing so hard she was crying...... and I think she is planning on picking up some donuts and putting them on his car....he he he

I have my Circle Journal back, I think I may be the only one. Except for Samantha, since I was the one who sent it to her. By the way Samantha, your pictures of your journal are to the right . I will post pictures of mine later. Well I better get back to work so I can get this somewhat finished and can head to the coast... Have a good weekend!

Saved the best for last

I am very late in getting this off to Samantha but I saved the best for last. Due to some of the morons that I work with the last journal (Dana's) never got sent off until last Saturday. So now Samantha's is on her way to return home. I took pictures but I am not going to ruin her surprise so I am not going to email them until at least next Tuesday......

the little strips on the right side flip open, so you can see all of the journalling. And of course my favorite Heidi Swapp white flowers are on there too.

Sad to see the circle journals end, but I think we are going to start up again in January. I already have my theme.... So if you are reading this and want to be a part of it let us know. The more the merrier.

McConaugh hey hey

Just a quick note.....

I think I can put up with 10 minutes of Oprah today.....Mr sexiest man alive Matthew McConaugh hey hey is on......

He has a beard, but I can look past that. 

Oh and another added plus, he is best friends with my other favorite, Lance Armstrong and in the back there is Jake Gyllenhal..... I wonder how many accidents happen when you see the 3 of them together? I have seen a picture of the shirtless Matthew and Lance, oh boy! I need a moment,..

Seriously

Seriously..... After about 4 1/2 hours sleep I got up to watch the season 2 finale of Grey's Anatomy. I balled like a baby. A combination of sleep deprivation and the subject matter. Hope I am not ruining anything for anybody, but Meredeth and Dr McDreamy (not to be confused with Dr Delicious form Big Brother 7, but I digress) had to put there dog down. It has been 10 months since we had to put my pretty Frieda down but it really tore me up. And then when Denny died, I really really liked him. But then there was McDreamy getting it on with Meredeth and that was a high point.

So now I am working from home, sitting in the CCC and also watching TV. The mail came and in it was the Scrapped Movie. So I am watching that as I type. So far it is really funny, this big burly motorcycle guy goes to a Greek sorority crop. With that said I hope I don't offend anyone, but it looked like ABSOLUTE HELL to me. They were doing conga lines through the tables and you have to share a 4 foot table with another person.  Andrea and I tried to go to our beach house to scrapbook for a weekend. We had to take 2 cars and we took enough stuff for 10 people. I have no idea how somebody could go for a few hours with just what they need. I don't pre plan layouts, I rarely even shop with a specific layout in mind. I buy what I like and then later it comes together. I guess I am more organic like that. I use to go to Andrea's house and scrapbook when I first started and only had CTMH stuff and i was only doing my grandpas pictures when he was a child. Now I have way to much stuff and it is a pain to travel the 3 miles to her house. We joked that we should have a web cam then we could scrapbook together. But I would worry that John would do one of his "I just got out of the shower naked dance" and scare the living crap out of her. It's one thing that her 6 year old won't keep his pants on when I am at his house for some strange reason, but a whole other thing when it is my 40 year old husband. 

So I really am working today too, updating things in our computer system but it is a tad bit slower from home. But that's ok, I am a little slower today too.

And then I had a little visitor. Now how can get anything done when she is so cute?

It's 2:30am

and I am still awake. I think I have watched 18 episodes of Grey's Anatomy and I can not stop. There are 2 left and I must save them for tomorrow. Put down the remote and step away from the TV....

Good thing I'm working from home tomorrow, I will need to sleep in.

Good Things

I can't believe that I haven't blogged since Sunday. And I am the one that gets board when other bloggers never update their blogs. I should be ashamed of myself. My only excuse is that it has been a busy work week with 2 late nights. So here I am again and it is Friday, thank goodness. I have to relishe the weekend since I won't have a day off until the 29th. So fun things all by myself are planned. John is going to the Oregon-Oklahoma game in Eugene and he is super excited so I will have all day Saturday alone. I really need that once in a while. Some scrapbooking, a Starbucks run and watching Grey's Anatomy season 2 is on hand. And I am also thinking of doing something like this to my hoards of ribbon.

I do have some good things of the week though:

As I mentioned I got the Grey's Anatomy season 1 & 2 on DVD this week as well as Lost season  this week from the wonderful Amazon.com. And they even gave me a $5 credit on my Grey's 2 because they lowered the price since I pre-ordered it. How nice is that! I also have House season 1 & 2 coming. I started watching it on TV this summer, it's pretty good. And it has a old boyfriend in it, so it is always exciting to see him in something. He use to say "you just wait, I will move to LA and then you will see me on TV and say You use to date me" I thought he was crazy and then there he is...... Pretty exciting for him.

Yesterday I got the new Jenni Bowlin kit, love them! She does a great job of picking neat stuff that all goes together. I am not a fan of what I call "Geranimal" scrapbooking. I do at times use all Chatterbox or Basic Grey paper on a layout but I prefer to mix it up and I think it makes you more creative and makes you think out of the box. But I hoard these kits and never use them..... I have to get over that.

Also got some new chipboard from my favorite Ebay store Craftykitty I LOVE these. I had no idea they were going to be so big. They are 12x12 chipboards, I got the Flourishes (of course) and the Wild Flowers. I think I have a slight problem when it comes to chipboard. I paint it, cover it and then the other night I glittered it. It combined my two favorite things; a flourish and sparkles. I love it so much I could marry it....

And then one more thing I can not get enough of is: large white flowers. I would use these on ever single thing I do if I can. And the Heidi Swapp ones are great. A little thin, so I double them up but for $16 I got 100 of them. From CraftyKitty of course.

 

and one more picture of the week:  my cute niece Madeline was up for a visit. She loves cell phones so I gave her one of my old ones. We played telephone but I didn't have mine with me so I had to use a remote. She is just the cutest thing. I wish she lived closer...

Circle Journal week 6

Another one down and only one more to go. Dana's theme was "Inspire" and I had to think hard on what inspires me. I think that is something that can change daily depending on your mood. (Good thing I did not do this on my super crappy day Friday)  I don't think anybody would want to have seen that!

So my inspiration is Martha (of course), all things French, color, art and my giant Andy Warhol of Jackie Kennedy, nature, magazines and books. On the right lower side I tore a page out of one of my French magazines and I didn't even notice until I was almost done that is says "d'inspiration". What luck!

One more to go and it is Miss Samantha's....can't wait. But it will be sad when it is over

This day sucks!

So my day has not started out so great,

On the way to one of my properties I almost got side swiped by this jerk in a big black truck that had no idea I was right next to him, I gave him the horn and the finger :)

Get to work and find out that they sold another 30 spots for a event I have this weekend and that is all great but I just bought all the stuff for it and based it on 50 people. So then I had to figure out when to go get it all. But the real pisser was that nobody thought to even tell me.....

AND THEN......I got a parking ticket because I was parked on the striped lines in-between the handicap spots because I was unloading boxes. The jerk of a cop with the really jacked up teeth told me that he had been sitting there for 45 minutes and I never came out. OK, I had not even been there 20 minutes when he showed up. Oh and he said the good news was that the ticket was the local $$ instead of the state so it won't cost me $500 but only $250. Now I am going to look into the validity  of the ticket since it was on private property, but I only have 10 days until it doubles...

and last but not least I had a meeting at a different location and I find out while there that a old friend/boyfriend works there so that was a bit of a shock. We were good friends for a really long time so I do miss him in that regard and it wasn't weird at all when I saw him. But you know how that goes.......It's always weird to run into them. At least I was having a good hair day.

I am now going out stay home and work the rest of the day because I am now afraid to leave the house :)

Cool new finds

Ran some errands for work today and made a quick stop at Art House and found a few much needed papers.

I love the tulips! And  found some neat ribbon on top of that! Not like I really needed it but when has that really stopped me. And I got the new My Favorite Memories September kit waiting for me today too. There really is nothing better than coming home to find a box sitting at the door.

And here is a picture of the cup that I mentioned the other day. I really don't see what the big deal is, but there was a post on 2peas that had like 80 comments about it and one woman was freaking out about having it near her children.....I hate people like that. Don't buy the frickin coffee and shut up :)

Happy 100

So miss Samantha was my 100th comment. I am sure that is a pretty small milestone for people like Ali who get that in a day but I think it is pretty cool. But I am a nerd!

I'm trying to get some scrapbooking done but my sweet little Peanut is laying on the table and my arm so it makes it a little hard. But she is so cute I can't shoo her away.

So glad it is getting close to fall and time to wear one of the 150 sweaters I now own.

It is Pumpkin Spice Latte time at Starbucks, and maybe you can get it in the new booby cups. Samantha your friend should get a bunch of those for her next boob party

Waiting for good tv to star again. Nip/Tuck started last night but not much until 2 weeks from now

Trying to figure out what "Inspires" me, well except for me, because I am "Ultra Crafty" Ok I don't really say that, it's a joke. There was a gal that I worked with that was setting up one of my events that decided that "she" would do the flowers, which by the way were horrible. But then she told me that she did a great job because she is "Ultra Crafty" I had know her for all of 45 minutes, it was just the way she said it that was so funny. So since then that is one of Andrea's and my little jokes.
