the new issue of Everyday Food arrived in my mailbox a week or so ago and I have now had time for a few of the creations and here are my highlights for you
On the cover is a really great Asian Rotisserie Chicken salad, really flavorful and will be a great salad for the summer if it is too hot to cook also found on page 99
Page 27: Lamb burgers with feta sauce and cucumbers.... on the menu for this Friday night
Page 32: Cucumber salad with sour cream and dill dressing.... hello it has sour cream....enough said
Page 36: Must try the buffalo chicken. They are a larger version of the chicken drummets
page 52: Mini Turkey burgers with sweet potato fries...Pair the fries with some Chipolte Ketchup and that is some good stuff. The Chipolte Ketchup is my trick, all you need is one of the cans of Chipoltes in Adobo Sauce. Take out 1 pepper and finally dice along with some of the sauce and mix with ketchup, to your heat level....good!
Page 64: Pork Picadillo, great for a 2 night dinner trick. Serve it with rice the first night and then make some super nummy oven nachos the second night
page 91: Roasted Pork Loin for one night and then use the leftovers for a killer looking sandwich on page 93
Page 106: Maryland Crab Cakes....but I changed it to a Oregon Crab Cake, well because we have the best crab ever!
Page 109: Fresh Cherry tart, I made this beauty at the beach last weekend. It was so good. I was finally able to use the Cherry Pitter and I am so glad I had it.
Page 118 Pistachio bonbons....must try that one, great for company that you can do ahead of time
Page 135: Seared Spicy fajitas.... So easy and so good for a work night meal
There you have it, my highlights. Now go out and buy it and try some of these things and let me know how you like them
