New Martha Stewart craft items are rolling into your local Michaels. I made a stop as soon as we were home from the beach and found some goodies.

The Martha Crafts Screw Punch is one of my very favorite tools and when I saw it on the shelf in Martha Green, I flipped out! I love it in the famous Martha green and I will be in big trouble if they redo all the tools in green, since I will have to buy one of each....

I also found the new Martha paper trimmer, it comes with a cutting blade and a scoring blade. You can also find it on-line at Marthastewartcrafts.com and don't forget to use the 25% off code MARTHA25

The new Occasions line is also available now with wonderful White Crepe Paper rose kit, that's on the list. Although I have about all of the other crepe paper flower kits and sort of started one flower. But it is on the list to do....

A Martha thank you card

I recently made some Thank you cards for all my wonderful family and friends after my birthday a few weeks ago. They were of course made with mostly Martha Stewart craft items....

To start with I used the Martha Stewart Tipped Edge stationary in Fennel, the dot paper is from the Picnic set of paper and the Eyelet strip is from the Embossed Eyelet table decoration kit. It is actually a napkin ring. The string is the Martha kitchen twine from the Halloween set and the tag, pink paper and brads are from Making Memories.

First I cut the paper to fit just inside the card so there was a white border

Attached the strip of eyelet paper and a pink brad on either end

Used blank tag rims, cut out the pink paper and then used one of my favorite things "stickles" glue and glitter in one little tube

Added the string around the brad just long enough to go through the tag

And there it is all together and ready to mail...

Circle Journals-finally done

For the third year I have been a part of a scrapbooking Circle Journal with a group of girls from all over the US and even Canada. This time I was the tardy one and was always behnd. But last night I found my mojo and cranked two of them out....

Andrea's theme was color, at the moment my favorite color is Pink, Barbie Pink to be exact. The cover of the book I am reading, Marie Antoinette is ther perfect shade of pink and it inspired me to do her journal in pink....

That is my sweet little Peanut in the background modeling the page for you all...

For Jaclyn's journal her theme was travel. Well that was a no brainer. It was all about Paris for me.

Page one was a photo that my new online buddy Emily took on a resent trip to Paris, she has some of the best pictures of Paris, check them out! The background is actually a vintage map I found online of Paris and printed it on photo paper.

 

Page 2 was a picture of Vesailles, the background is also a vintage map of Versailles, I added the huge French flag to the picture for a little more of that touch of France

Off to dream of Paris....

Natl Scrapbook Day

Yes, I know it sounds a little nerdy. But any excuse to spend an entire day in my craft room is fine with me. I roped my sister into it, she hasn't done it before today but she has me "collecting" the supplies. (it runs in the family)

Of course the day started with a stop at a Life's a Scrapbook, they were having a sale!

I planned on making some wonderful Panini sandwiches but I told her she had to get a page done before I would feed her. Bossy, aren't I...

and here she is with her first ever layout....

And all I got done was just one page, well I started a second. But I need to finish my Thank You cards first so I can finly send out my Blogaversary winners there presents.

French lunch-mini book

After my lovely French lunch I made a mini book as a thank you to my friend Michelle. I saw her today so it was safe to share it with you all now

I am really getting into a crafty zone right now.. but I better get back to making my thank you cards. I will share those later....

Acrylic stamp storage

I found a new great way to store all my acrylic stamps, of course Martha is involved. I purchased one of the Martha Stewart Photo storage boxes and my sheets of acrylic stamps fit in there perfectly. The use to sit in 4 three ring binders in side clear sheet protectors. Now they are sorted into alphabets, flourishes, flowers etc...

Now they are all in one place and so easy to use, I wish I thought of it sooner.....

finished project

I took on a huge project at home this week and half way throught it I had to ask myself "What was I thinking?" Claudine's Craft Corner as John likes t call it was in need of a spruce up and a new table. I had been looing for months for something that would work perfectly and of course Martha Stewart made something that would work just perfectly.I found a great table at K-mart that is part of the Martha Stewart collection, the Martha farmhouse type table and was even on sale, what's not to love!  It is really well made and is pretty heavy and stable.

Now for the finished project

Yes, I have a chandelier in my craft room, I would have one in every room of the house if I could...

I even had a guest crafter over today and Cinderella as well

And I even got a little something done myself. Now that I can find everything I hope to get lots of fun stuff done...

I tried to stamp the flower with a gluepad and then put glitter on it. It doesn't really show up in the photo....I love the heart bookplates and I was able to part with a little of my French je t'aime ribbon

Circle Journal Sheila's

Sheila's idea was "Happiness is..." I made out a big list of things I was happy for at this very moment and then looked at these pages for 2 weeks. We hit a little break in the Circle Journal and I could have been good and finished it right away and then took it to Michelle, but I had to email and lether know I was not "Happy with the Happiness pages yet"

I wanted to do black and white and had some new Jenni Bowlin paper so I was happy there and that was about it. But in the end I finished with a little bit of Bazzill Bling green paper and a picture of my pretty girl Freida and now we are ready to go to Michelle. When I showed John he said this page looks like our living room. Oopps... he's right....

circle journal Elizabeth M's

It's been two week since I have had a Circle Journal in my hot little hands, but I finished my layout so when it arrives, I can add it in and then drive it down the road to Michelle.

Elizabeth's theme was "your favorite recipe" I had to decide what I was going to use, I couldn't give away the famous Hemingway Clam Dip or Mickey's Potato Salad and surely not the Chipino. But one of my favorite things is Salmon and add that with Roasted tomatoes and some Risotto and you have a match made in heaven. They are "buddies" as Jamie Oliver would say.

So I wanted it to look like a real cookbook, and some of my cookbooks are pretty dirty. My most loved recipe pages have marks from water splatter, food, etc. So I used some real wine and made some glass marks on the pages. It might not look like that now, but that's what I was intending. The book paper, is actually a picture of some of my cookbooks printed on cardstock. And I even dogeared the page...... I sure hope Elizabeth makes this and let's me know what she thought....
